Term 4 Narrative
This term opens with Book Week. The first step involves the children being Writers and describing an engaging setting in the book ‘Flotsam’. After this they dive into being Historians, linking new knowledge of the Bronze Age to their previous learning of the Stone Age. The children then become Writers again to explore ‘Stig of the Dump’ and write their own their own section of the narrative. Following this, the children become Historians again exploring the legacy of the Bronze Age and how it moved to the Iron Age. They then become Geographers exploring the Iron Age Hillforts and will then Design and create their own. This leads the children to being Writers again where they engage in and write a balanced argument about who did it best – Bronze Age or Iron Age? The final narrative of the term, allows the children to become Scientists exploring the skeletons of Animals (including Humans) and how to support a Healthy Diet.
